Have you started your Christmas prep yet?
The holiday season is fast approaching. Investing time now can help you plan what you need, assess what you have, and schedule all the holly jolly this holiday season.
Check out my short videos for each of the 12 days below. And be sure to pick up your free checklist at the link above.
We kick off the series by chatting about Christmas cards. Now is the time to chose your photo, order your card, and buy all the stamps.
CREATE A BUDGET
Do you set a holiday budget? Remember…it’s not just for the gifts. Include all your activities, travel and other expenses related to your celebrations.
CREATE A GIFT LIST
Next, let’s create a list of who to buy for based on your budget and ideas to determine how much you should buy. Don’t forget teachers, bosses, neighbors, or Secret Santas.
CHECK GIFT WRAPPING SUPPLIES
Check in on your wrapping supplies. Make sure you have all the paper, bags, boxes, bows and tapes we need to wrap the gifts you’re giving this holiday season.
HOLIDAY MEAL PLANNING
Whether you are hosting or merely providing a mouth to feed, now is the time to figure out what you’ll be eating, if you’ll be contributing, and what you’ll need from the grocery store.
Think about your holiday style, what you actually use, and what is just taking up space. And remember…what goes up, must come down.
SCHEDULE HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
It’s not only important to know what you are doing, but also know when you just can’t fit any more in.
Create awareness around your busy weeks so you can schedule those regular activities like laundry and cleaning the bathroom when your schedule is less hectic.
BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY TRAVEL
Where will Santa find you on Christmas Eve? If you’re traveling, have you make those reservations or double check your travel times now.
BUY YOUR EVENT TICKETS
Buy or find the tickets for your favorite holiday events. If you’ve found yourself in envy of a Santa breakfast, holiday light display or Christmas concert you’ve seen on social media in years past, buy those tickets today so you don’t miss out this year.
Double batching now and stocking up on family favorites in your freezer can help you save time and money when the December rush hits.
Let’s go through your baking supplies to make sure they are fresh and ready. You also want to make sure you know what you have so you don’t over-buy or waste items.
